Ojee Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Cross Connect mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information – when you register or your church administrator creates an account for you, we collect your name and email address.
- Prayer requests & messages – content you voluntarily submit through prayer request forms or chat rooms.
- Push notification tokens – a device token used solely to deliver notifications (e.g., Verse of the Day, announcements) to your device.
- Device & usage data – general information such as device type, operating system version, and in-app activity, used to maintain and improve the App.
- Location data – the App may display your congregation’s location on a map (via OpenStreetMap); we do not collect or store your precise device location.
We do not collect payment information. Any online giving links direct you to third-party services that handle transactions under their own privacy policies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Operate and deliver App features (sermons, bulletins, Bible, calendar, chat, prayer requests, announcements).
- Send push notifications you have opted in to receive.
- Respond to support inquiries.
- Monitor App performance and fix issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
3. Sharing of Information
We may share information in limited circumstances:
- Within your congregation – content such as prayer requests or chat messages may be visible to other members and administrators of your specific church within the App.
- Service providers – we use trusted third-party providers to help operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, push notification services). These parties process data only on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements – we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ojee Labs, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers – in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with or links to services operated by third parties, including:
- OpenStreetMap – used to display church location maps. Subject to the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store – distribution platforms with their own privacy practices.
- Online giving & live stream providers – links within the App may direct you to third-party giving or streaming platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you access through the App.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App’s services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see Section 9). We will delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable time, unless retention is required by law.
6. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
